The following terms of sale apply to all vehicle sales.

Transaction Fees

A document processing fee of $75 and a vehicle prep fee of $125 apply to every transaction. Buyers are also responsible for their state sales tax, title, and registration fees applicable to their purchase. 30 day temporary license plates and temporary registrations are available to out of state buyers for a fee.

Deposits

Sutherland Auto Sales will accept a $500 deposit to place a firm hold on a vehicle for a buyer. This deposit can be made over the phone via credit card or a wire transfer. In-person deposits can be made via credit card, cash or certified funds. Deposits secure a vehicle for a max of five days while payment arrangements and/or financing arrangements are being made. All deposits are non-refundable since we are placing a firm hold on the vehicle and stopping other buyers from purchasing the vehicle. Please do not place any deposit on a vehicle unless you know that you want to purchase that exact vehicle.

Payments made to Sutherland Auto Sales

The max amount we can accept on a credit card is $500 per transaction. Payment in full or the balance of your down payment must be made by cash, certified funds, a wire transfer or loan check from your financial institution.

Vehicle transport

Sutherland Auto Sales ships vehicles to long distance clients nearly every day. We can assist you in finding the right carrier to deliver you new vehicle at the right rate. Shipping costs are not included in any sale price and Sutherland does not cover any shipping expense. The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.

Buyer's Inspection

Sutherland Auto Sales has been open to the public here in the historic Village of Pittsford, New York since 1983. Any client is more than welcome to come to our facility to look at any vehicle for themselves during our business hours. We welcome clients here with a smile every day and can answer any question you may have. We are also happy to walk around any vehicle while on the phone with our clients to more deeply describe any vehicle or feature.

Warranty Programs Available

Unless otherwise stated in the vehicle description, all vehicles are sold as-is. No representations or warranties are made by seller, nor are any representations or warranties relied upon by buyer. Manufacturer's warranties may still apply and extended warranties may be available. Please contact us for details.

Disputes

Any disputes relating to a vehicle, sale of a vehicle or purchase of a vehicle must be resolved in Monroe County, NY. Each party shall bear their own costs and the laws of the State of New York shall apply. Any claims or disputes relating to a vehicle transaction must be made in writing to Sutherland Auto Sales within seven days of transaction.
